Who we are

We are an interdisciplinary, international team of professionals working together on promoting participation.

We bring our varied experiences and expertise to the European Institute for Public Participation. This allows us to provide a unique view on public participation, because we are truly combining cultural and professional backgrounds in our team.

Werner Alten (D) provides the technical background for the use of information
technology in participation. He is CEO of holistic net.

Trevor Boutall (UK) provides practical expertise in management standard setting. He is founder and principal consultant at the Management Standards Consultancy in London. He also works in Italy with the School of Coaching, ISTUD and SCOA Business Schools and EXEO Consulting.

Simon Dalferth (D) has written his PhD thesis on police policy in Europe at Jacobs University Bremen and is principal researcher at the EIPP. He also publishes his thoughts on simondalferth.de.

Martin Lüdemann (D), a professional facilitator, contributes focus on the psychological aspects of group decision making and training. He also works as a partner for Dr. Sourisseaux, Lüdemann & Partner.

David Mathews (F) has developed a range of techniques for consultation with and engagement of stakeholders. He works in the UK and France.

Patrizia Nanz (D) is professor of political theory and European governance at the University of Bremen.
